Music at St. Paul's
MUSIC
has been an important part of the mission and outreach of st. paul's episCopal
church for nearly 150 years.
St. Paul's has a long history of excellent music making and
contributions to secular and sacred music, and our historic sanctuary continues
to serve as a place of prayer and respite of beauty for the residents for all
people. Professional musicians have been employed here since the late 19th
century, and one of the Episcopal Church's most distinguished hymn writers
served as Rector from 1905-1911. More recently, John Harms served as
Organist and Choirmaster in the mid-twentieth century and later founded what is
now the Bergen Performing Arts Center.
Music at St. Paul's is a series of programs highlighting local
singers, instrumentalists, and choirs in a welcoming, sacred space. If you are
interested in participating in the series, check out the latest

including The Mack Brandon Quartet & Ramapo Gospel Choir, St. Paul's Choir,
Canticum Novum Choir of Christ Church, New Brunswick and St. Luke's & Our
Saviour Choir.
Free parking is available and a reception follows each program. Everyone is welcome!
